The EU Regulation 305/2011 for the establishment of common conditions for the marketing of construction products was adopted on 9 March 2011 by the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union and entered into force on 1 July 2013.

By "Construction product" is defined as any product or combination of products produced and delivered into market for permanent integration in structures, either entirely or partly, the performance of which affects the performance of the structures in relation to the essential requirements of the structures.

The requirements of the constructions are specialized in:

  7. Sustainable Use of Natural Resources

At the same time, the characteristics of the products in the field of construction are defined in technical specifications in relation to the basic requirements of construction. Once a construction product is in accordance with a harmonized standard or complies with a European technical assessment issued for it, the manufacturer shall draw up a declaration of performance when each product is delivered on the market.

By affixing the CE marking or assigning its marking, the manufacturers indicate that they assume responsibility for the compliance of the construction product with the declared performance, as well as for compliance with all applicable requirements of this Regulation and the rest of the relevant Union harmonization legislation providing for its placement.

The products of the construction sector include:

  • prefabricated products from ordinary / lightweight / honeycomb in concrete
  • doors, windows, shutters, gates and other building materials
  • membranes, including those that apply to liquids and systems (for the control of water and / or water vapor)
  • thermal insulation materials
  • insulation systems for building and structures

  • chimneys, flues and special products
  • plaster products
  • geotextiles, geomembranes and other products
