Many countries worldwide rely on a process called Laboratory Accreditation as a means of determining their technical competence.
Laboratory Accreditation uses criteria and procedures specifically designed to determine technical competence. Specialized evaluators perform a thorough evaluation of all factors that may affect the results of tests or calibrations.
Program Duration: 3 Days
The requirements are based on the internationally recognized standard (ISO / IEC 17025) for testing or calibration laboratories, which are used to evaluate laboratories worldwide. Laboratory Accreditation Bodies use this standard to evaluate factors related to a laboratory's ability to produce accurated test and calibration results, including the following:
- Technical adequacy of personnel
- Reliability and appropriateness of control methods
- Traceability of measurements and calibrations to national standards
- Suitability, calibration and maintenance of test equipment
- Test environment
- Sampling, handling and transfer of data
- Quality assurance of test results and calibrations
The Laboratory Accreditation according to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 also covers the quality system elements related to the corresponding certification according to ISO 9001. To confirm the continuous compliance, the laboratories are regularly re-evaluated in order to check that they maintain the required adequacy. These laboratories participate in regular proficiency testing programs (interlaboratory programs), as part of their ongoing demonstration of competence.
Laboratory Accreditation therefore provides a means of assessing the ability of laboratories to perform specific types of tests, measurements and calibrations. It also allows the laboratory to determine if it is performing its tasks correctly and according to the appropriate standards. Manufacturing companies may also use laboratory accreditation to verify product inspections carried out in laboratories within their premises.

The teaching method include lectures, internships and group collaboration.
Taking this into consideration, participants are invited to perform group and individual exercises and tasks, as well as role playing exercises, aimed at developing their skills (time management, team spirit, collaboration).
At the end, an evaluation test and a satisfaction questionnaire are distributed to the participants in order to evaluate the results of their training and the achievement of its objectives.
